Jefferson hit the road for trip to NYC to take on the #13 Ranked Kingsborough CC. The #11 ranked Cannoneers jumped out to a 21-14 lead in the first quarter, Kingsborough outscored the Cannoneers 29-12 in the second quarter and 27-18 in the third to stretch the lead to 19 points and cruised to a 92-67 win. LaKaiya Butcher led the Cannoneers with 22 points and 12 rebounds and Delaney Wiley added 21 points. Jefferson falls to 3-3 overall.
The Cannoneers travel to the Bronx to take on #12 ranked Hostos CC in ta NJCAA top 15 Match up. The #11 Cannoneers fell behind 48-33 at the half but used a 23 point run in the third quarter to pull within 3 points. Both teams scored 19 in the fourth quarter as the Cannoneers had 2 chances to tie the game at the end. Hostos CC came away with the 78-75 win. Jefferson was led by LaKaiya Butcher's 20 points and 9 rebounds. Delaney Wiley added 13 points and Kori Nichols added 12 points and 12 rebounds. Lily Dupee scored 10 points aa the Cannoneers fell to 3-4 overall.
