The Lady Cannoneers traveled to Rochester, Minnesota to compete in the 2024 NJCAA Region III National Women's Basketball Championship. In the their first match-up Jefferson would face the Rowan College South Jersey-Gloucester Lady Roadrunners. The Lady Cannoneers jumped out to a 39-19 lead going into the half. Out of Halftime JCC was held scoreless for 10 minutes and only score 7 points in the 3rd. Leading 46-35 heading into the 4th the Lady Cannoneers outscored the Roadrunners 18-10 to win 64-45 to secure a spot in the Elite Eight. Kori Nichols led all scorers with 20 points and Paris Jones added 13 points and 7 steals.
The Elite 8 match up had Jefferson taking on the #2 seed Rochester Community and Technical College. Jefferson battled the Lady Yellowjackets in the first quarter 22-21. In the first quarter the Cannoneers lost starting Point Guard Paris Jones to a knee injury that took her out of the National Championships. The Cannoneers battled and pulled within 8 in the 3rd quarter, before Daelynn Alcock sprained her ankle and was also sidelined for the rest of the tournament. The Cannoneers turned to an all-freshmen lineup to finish the game, the 74-54 loss ended the National Championship run.
The Quarter-Final loss put Jefferson in the consolation bracket against Onondaga. This was the Cannoneers 5th matchup against the Lazers. The Cannoneers were without Alcock and Jones, Jefferson starting 5 were all freshmen. Jefferson put up a fight in the first quarter training 19-17 before going cold in the second quarter and trailed the Lazers by 21 at the Half. The Cannoneers came out of the half on fire and outscored the Lazers 26-7 to pull within 2 to start the third. With limited subs, the Cannoneers ran out of gas and the season came to an end with a 71-61 loss.
LaKaiya Butcher led all scorers with 28 points, Abby Raven score 19 and Delaney Wiley added 10.
The Cannoneers finished the season at 25-5 and ranked #6 in the Nation.
