Harriers Close Out Season at Nationals
Jack Natali and Charles Rogers Close out their season by competing in the National Cross Country Championships.
Westfield, MA - The Cannoneer harriers completed their season Saturday at the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III National Cross Country Championships. The championship was hosted by Holyoke Community College with 30 colleges from around the country participating. The men's race included 157 athletes competing over the 8K course. Freshman Jack Natali (Clayton, NY) led the Cannoneers with a 75th place overall finish in a time of 31:00. Natali was followed by fellow freshman Charles Rogers who also covered the 8K course in 32:41 for 100th overall place. Coach Ummer noted, "Both Natali and Rodgers close out very strong freshman campaigns and look forward to building on this year's experiences and growth. They both achieved their goals they set coming into the season, qualifying for nationals. In addition, they both posted personal best times for the 8K that rank them in the top ten of all-time Jefferson runners. These two have the work ethic and talent to do some great things next year."
