Jefferson Cross Country Runners Compete at the Oswego State Invitational
Christina Platt and Ethan Vincent led the way for Jefferson in the Oswego State Invitational.
Cannoneer men's and women's cross country competed in the Oswego State Invitational. The women ran first and saw a strong performance by sophomore Christina Platt; she led the way for junior college runners with a 12th place finish among 14 teams and 110 runners. Platt finished in the thick of the front pack of strong NCAA Div II and III runners and outdistanced the next NJCAA runner by 45 sec for the 5 kilometer race. Platt's time of 20:45.6 is the second fastest 5 kilometer time in Jefferson's short program history.
On the men's side sophomore Ethan Vincent led the way for the Cannoneer men's cross country team with a time of 35:06.9 for the 8 kilometer course and finished 95th of 126 runners and 14 teams. Ethan was followed by sophomore Ryan Cadwell who ran a personal best of 37:29.8 for 109th. Other finishers for the Cannoneers where Dan Minott and Darius White finishing in 45:30.6 and 57.53.7 respectively.
