The Women's Volleyball team traveled to Onondaga Community College on Saturday, September 14th and came home with three regional victories. First, they defeated Tompkins Cortland Community College in three straight sets (25-10, 25-21, 25-11), next up was Corning Community College (26-24, 25-17, 25-22) and the last match of the day was against SUNY Broome. Jefferson won in four sets (25-23, 25-14, 22-25, and 25-18). This gives Jefferson a 4-0 record regionally to start the season. Kelsey Finster kept the team focused and finished the day with 85 assists. Marjorie Vazquez and Allison Burrows teamed up to lead the offensive charge. Maggie finished with 37 kills and 32 digs while Allison tallied 25 kills and 33 digs. Grace Gehrke had a big day at the net finishing with 5 blocks and 6 kills, Aliza Deasy added 8 kills, Alyssa Evans recorded 10 kills, Savanna Baker tallied 4 digs and 4 service points, while Brooke Everson chipped in 6 kills along with 24 digs. Abigail Sullivan added 10 service points and Nicole O'Connor finished with 9 service points. Jenna Wilson led the defense with 26 digs respectively. The Lady Cannoneers will travel to Broome on Wednesday for a conference match.
