Up against the #1 team in the nation the Cannoneer Women's Soccer Program made a statement by smashing the formerly undefeated Genesee Lady Cougars 5-1. The Cannoneers showed great mentality to come back and score 5 unanswered goals after a giving up a fluke goal in the opening minutes. Rhyleigh Colvard and Jennah Netto both scored a brace despite being man marked the whole game. Malena Stevenson created yet another assist, and the POTM Emily Bombard was in for a goal and an assist. Even with some great individual performances credit is due to the team as a whole, all 15 players on the roster contributed to that win and deserve recognition. The Cannoneers take on Jamestown next on Sunday.
