The Lady Cannoneers started their season off away at Herkimer College on Wednesday August 31st.. The girls lost a hard fought battle against a good Herkimer team 3-0. Jenna Leshkevich had 12 saves in goal. Next Jefferson had their home opener against SUNY Broome Community College, where they lost again 3-0 which was held on Saturday September 3rd. Although they lost they had shown a lot of improvement since the first game. Jenna Leshkevich had 8 saves in goal. Last night the girls put in a spirited performance and got a well deserved win against Hudson Valley in double overtime. Audrianna Tehonica goal was enough to force overtime and Raven Winters scored the deciding goal 30 seconds into the second period of OT. The Lady Cannoneers beat the Lady Vikings 2-1. Jenna Leshkevich had 9 saves in goal. The ladies soccer team will be back on the field as they will be traveling to Finger Lakes Community College on Wednesday, September 14th. Game is set to start at 4:00 pm.
