Jefferson Women's Basketball will start their 2024-25 season Nationally Ranked #7 in the NJCAA National Poll-Division 3 Women's Basketball.
Coming off a 25-5 season and having received the at-large bid to the National Championships in Rochester, Minnesota, the Cannoneers will return 4 starters and are excited to get the season going. The Cannoneers will have a tough preseason with scrimmages against 4-year schools St. Lawrence University, SUNY Potsdam, SUNY Canton, and Clarkson University before opening against #10 Owens (OH), and #9 CC Rhode Island at the Onondaga CC Challenge on November 9 & 10th, after a few NJCAA Region III games against Genesee, North Country, and Cayuga, the Cannoneers will head to New York City to take on #12 Kingsborough CC and #15 Hostos CC. Jefferson will spend December on the road taking on perennial powerhouse Fulton Montgomery, Mid-State Conference member Tompkins Cortland before finishing the semester Against #6 Onondaga CC.
The Cannoneers will be tested early with 5 top 15 opponents and 8 of their first 10 games on the road. Jefferson will be tested early with the hopes to becoming a stronger team down the stretch in February. Jefferson will have the home court advantage at the Region 3 Division 3 tournament, as they will host the top 8 teams February 28, March 1 & March 2.
