The Lady Cannoneers Hold to the Win Against the Lady Raiders

The Cannoneers hosted the Defending Region 3 Champion Raiders from Fulton Montgomery Community College.  The Lady Cannoneers jumped out to a 10-4 lead before the Lady Raiders put on a 19-0 run to take the lead 23-10, Jefferson rallied to cut the halftime deficit to 6 points 34-28.  The Cannoneers outscored the Raiders 21-10 in the third quarter to take a 3-point lead into the 4^th.  The Lady Cannoneers expanded the lead to 8 before Fulton pulled it back to 3-point difference.  With the Cannoneers up 2 with 3 seconds to go, Kori Nichols hit 1 of 2 free throws expand the lead to 3.  Fulton shot at the final horn, but fell short to secure the 63-60 win. 

Daelynn Alcock led Jefferson with 17 points and 9 Rebounds while Kori Nichols scored 14 of her 16 points in the second half points.  Abby Raven had 11 points 12 rebounds and LaKaiya Butcher scored 8 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
