A great second half performance aided the Cannoneer Women's Basketball team in a victory over Tompkins Cortland, in a Mid-State Athletic Conference matchup played at SUNY Jefferson. After a strong first quarter, the Cannoneers led the game 17-10, but a series of made three pointers brought the Panthers to within five points when the game broke for halftime. The Cannoneers followed up with a 22-12 and 25-9 third and fourth quarter performance to help them reach an 82-51 victory at home.
The team was led by Gabrielle Morley, who netted 26 points in the home game. Emily Farrand followed closely with 19 points of her own. Double digit scoring also came from KJ Belmore and Torie Moore, each scoring 11 points. Torie Moore also grabbed an impressive 16 total rebounds.
