Lady Cannoneers Fall to the Lady Generals

Thursday night the Lady Cannoneers traveled to Herkimer Community College for their third Region 3 game in 5 days. The faced off with the best defensive team they have seen this year. Overcoming a slow start Jefferson fought back through much of the second quarter to cut into Herkimer's lead headed into the halftime break down just 11. Sophomore forward Chelsey Raven carried much of the offensive load in the first half notching 7 points. The second half started much like the first half and saw Herkimer increase its lead throughout the quarter. The deficit was too much for the Lady Cannoneer's to overcome in the end. Herkimer would pull away for their 7th Region 3 victory of the year. Raven notched 19 points, and Eyles contributed 10 points for the Cannoneers. Jefferson will head into a short holiday break before their last home stand of the first semester December 7th, and 8th.
