SUNY Jefferson hosted Corning in a doubleheader on Sunday. Corning won the opening game by a score of 8-2. Lizzy Hobbs 2 hits including a double and Kayla Warden 2 hits for the losing squad.
Corning jumped ahead in the bottom of the first inning of game 2, plating 6 runs. Jefferson's comeback attempt came up short as the Cannoneers lost game 2 by a score of 8-5. Hobbs once again paced the Jefferson offense with 4 hits in 4 at bats driving in 3 runs. Brooke Matys added 2 hits and 2 stolen bases for the Cannoneers. Jefferson hosts Tompkins Cortland on Tuesday as they look to get back in the win column.
