Jefferson Softball Split With Niagara
Jefferson Softball took game one in the doubleheader against Niagara, but lost game two.

The Cannoneer Softball team traveled to Niagara County Community College to take on the Thunderwolves in a doubleheader. Jefferson's starting lineup in game 1 found success throughout the order with all 9 batters tallying a hit and additionally, 4 batters had 2 or more hits. Brooke Beleza went 3-4 in the game with 2 RBIs and Harlie Moore went 2-4 while scoring 2 runs. The Cannoneers were down late in the game until a 6th inning rally saw 5 runs to take the lead. Rachael Shackleton shut down the Thunderwolves offense to hold the game and give Jefferson the win, 9-8.
The offense kept the hits coming in game 2 for a total of 15, however could only manage to string together 5 runs. Kaylee Johnson went 3-5 in the game and Emma Parslow led the team with 2 RBIs. The Cannoneers dropped game 2 by a score of 9-5, taking a split in the doubleheader.
