Lady Cannoneers Withstand the Rain to take down the Lady Panthers

The Cannoneers battled Tompkins Cortland Community College in the rain for game 1 of the home doubleheader. Jefferson's offense was propelled in the first inning with 4 early runs. The offense would continue to find success throughout the game as the Cannoneers would put up 14 runs in the game 1 victory. Jadyn Childers and Brianna Grant led the way in RBIs both driving in two runs.  Torie Moore also had an RBI in the winning effort while also tallying two hits including a triple. Rachael Shackleton was dominant in the circle, allowing no earned runs and no hits through 4 innings pitched adding 10 strikeouts to her final line. The Cannoneers would continue to battle through the weather to go on to win game 1, 14-2.

Game 2 saw Brianna Grant leading the way pitching a complete game (5 innings pitched), tallying 11 strikeouts and allowing just the one earned run on one hit. Kaylee Johnson continued her good season at the plate driving in 2 RBIs, and Brooke Beleza went 3-3 with an RBI and two doubles. Game 2 final score: Jefferson wins 12-3.
