The SUNY Jefferson Cannoneers Softball Team hosted SUNY Adirondack in a doubleheader. Jefferson would win game 1 by a score of 9-0 behind a 3-hit shutout from Sarah Johnson. Johnson struck out 7 over her 5 innings of work. Sarah Johnson and Isabella Soluri each went 2 for 3 with 2 runs batted in for the victors. Riley Dowlearn was 2 for 2.
Game 2 would be a pitcher's duel between Georgia Barton of the Cannoneers and Chesnie York of the Timberwolves. The Cannoneers would scratch single runs in the 2nd and 5th innings and Barton kept the SUNY Adirondack bats in check over 5 and 2/3 innings allowing only 1 unearned run. Sarah Johnson would come in to record the final four outs for her first save of the season. Offensively, the Cannoneers were led by Bailey Zicari who was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI and Kaylee Johnson hit her second triple of the season and scored a run.
The Cannoneers record improves to 7-3.
