Jefferson Sweeps Saints at Home
The Jefferson Lady Cannoneer Softball team swept the North Country Lady Saints at home.

The Lady Cannoneers picked up a home double header sweep against North Country.
Game 1 saw Jefferson battle for a dramatic come from behind victory. The Saints jumped out early and held a 7-1 advantage heading into the 6th. However, Jefferson rallied to score 10 runs of their own to pull away. Freshman Mary Young led the offensive out burst going 3 for 5 at the plate with a triple and home run. Mary's home run will be remembered as the first home run at Jefferson's new softball complex!
Game 2 Jefferson jumped out early on the Saints and cruised to a 7-1 victory behind Samantha Giruzzi's 7 strikeouts on the mound. Senior Lindsey Croneiser had a breakout game at the plate going 3 for 3 with an RBI while scoring 2 runs herself.
