The Cannoneer Men's Soccer Program dominated the Broome Hornets with a resounding 8-0 win in their home opener. A great team performance, especially in the second half, saw some great play and resulted in Sophomore Player of the Match Jack Rathbun (also provided 1 assist) and Freshman Jacob Childs (scored the mercy goal to end it in the 75th minute) both recording their first collegiate hattricks for the program. At the center of the action as usual was Sophomore Brodie Finnie who scored once and provided 3 assists. Sophomore Devin Connell recorded the first clean sheet for the program this season with the help of a solid defensive performance from Sophomore Captain Maxi Gili and co. which only allowed 3 total shots. The Cannoneers look forward to their first real test this weekend against Herkimer.
