The Cannoneers hosted the #1 team in the conference, Genesee, and came up on the short end of a highly contested battle by the score of 68-65. The game was close throughout and would come down to the final minute of play. The Cannoneers would miss a shot at the buzzer to tie the game and get handed the defeat. It was sophomore night and PJ Asare did not disappoint as he had a great game with 22 points/8 rebounds. Shamell Ponds would have a solid night as well with 13 points/ 5 assists. Dante Stokes would also have a good night with 12 points. Dmair Williams would also have a solid night with 7 points/7 rebounds for the Cannoneers. Next up is the last regional game at Clinton, before the Cannoneers travel to Genesee for the Mid-State conference playoffs on February 23rd.
