Cannoneers Lose Heartbreaker
The Jefferson Men's Basketball lose a close one against Onondaga Community College.
The Cannoneers traveled to Syracuse on Saturday to take on the nationally 3rd ranked Lazers of Onondaga Community College and came away with a 74-71 loss. The game would be close throughout with the Lazers taking a 10-point lead in the second half, only to see the Cannoneers fight back and tie the game in the last minute. The Lazers would convert on inbounds play and a free throw to secure the win. Leading the way for the Cannoneers was Jeremiah Smith with 19 points. Also lending a hand was Isiah Murphy with 16 points and Howard Turner with 12 points. Isaiah Lemon and Matt Brown would chip in with 9 and 8 points respectively.
