Jefferson Men's Basketball Can't Get Past the Hawks

The Cannoneers hosted the #3 team in the country in Mohawk Valley and gave the Hawks all they could handle before succumbing in the latter stages of the game.  The Cannoneers came out firing on all cylinders and would see thensleves tied with the Hawks 44-44 all at halftime.  The second half would be a battle until the Hawks opened the game up with a late run, resulting in a closer score than the final count of 100-74.

Leading the way for the Cannoneers were Isiah Murphy with 18 points on 8-9 shooting and 4 assists.  Chipping in and helping the cause were Jalen Stewart with 14 and Joshua Newman with 13 points.  Howard Turner also added 9 points for the Cannoneers.  The Cannoneers return to action for more region 3 play as they travel to play Schenectady CC.
