The Cannoneers traveled to Batavia, NY to take on the Cougars of Genesee CC and found themselves in a hole right from the start. The Cougars jumped out to an early 11-2 lead, only to see the Cannoneers go on 15-14 run to cut the deficit to 25-18. The Cougars would respond with a 12-0 run in the first half and extend the lead, resulting in the Cannoneers playing catch up the rest of the night.
The Cannoneers were lead by Joshua Newman's double-double of 13 pts and 10 rebounds. Jake Hess would chip in with 13 pts and Isiah Murphy would add 12 pts and 4 assists. Howard Turner would add 10 pts to the cause. The Final score being 87-65 in favor of Genesee. Next up are region 3 games as the Cannoneers travel to the Albany area to face Hudson Valley and Adriondack.
