Cannoneers Extend Their Winning Streak
The Jefferson Men's Basketball team defeat the visiting TC3 Panthers.
The Cannoneers hosted the Panthers of Tompkins-Cortland Community college on Tuesday night and came away with a 97-74 win to improve their record to 6-3 overall and 1-0 in Mid State conference play. The Cannoneers had another balanced attack again with five players in double figures. Leading the way was Javon Hunter with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Karaan Newsome added 13 points and 4 assists, Deshawn Cann contributed 12 points and 8 rebounds, Trevane Jones with another double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds, Christian Rohlehr with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks. Also contributing solid games were Natell Windley with 9 points and 5 assists and Ismaeel Safo with 8 points and 11 rebounds. The Cannoneers will be in action again this weekend as they travel to Columbia Greene for another Region 3 contest.
