The eSports Teams Started Their Season!
The eSports teams saw some competition this past week.
From September 30th to October 3rd, the eSports teams had a mixed week of competition. On September 30, OS Fortnite No Builds secured a solid 2-1 victory against Southwest Wisconsin Technical College after dropping map 1 followed by another impressive performance with a 2-0 win over Finger Lakes. The following day, OS Super Smash Bros Ultimate teams had an outstanding showing, achieving two consecutive 4-0 victories over Community College of Beaver County. However, OS Overwatch faced tough competition, suffering a 3-0 loss to College of Dupage and another 3-0 defeat against Alvin Community College. The teams continued to experience ups and downs on Thursday, with OS Mario Kart starting strong by winning 4-1 against Northwest College but then losing 4-0 to Marshaltown Community College. Additionally, OS Valorant encountered challenges, ending the week with a 2-0 loss to Monroe. Call of Duty and Fornite Builds both recieved byes for the week. Overall, the week showcased strong performances in Fortnite and Super Smash Bros Ultimate, while the teams faced hurdles in Overwatch and Valorant.
