In game 1 versus Mohawk Valley, JCC struggled on defense and with walks, leading to a couple big innings for Mohawk Valley. The Cannoneers would out-hit the Hawks on the strength of 2 hits apiece from Jacob Ortiz and Kaleb Peters. Jahlil Surles and Ashton Brea would each drive in a run.
Game 2:
The Cannoneers would bounce back to take game 2 on the back of a complete game pitching performance from Kolby Robinson. Robinson would allow only 1 run, striking out 7 batters and allowing 5 hits to pick up the win. Ashton Brea would have a 3-hit game and a stolen base. Jahlil Surles would also have a multi-hit game and provide an RBI. Peter Gallagher drove in 2 runs, while JT Toker, Robert Leyva, and Josh Matteson each drove in 1 run each.
