JCC fell to Finger Lakes Community College 6-3 in game 1 of Thursday's double-header. FLCC's bats were persistent as they scored in each of the first 4 innings. The Cannoneers battled late adding 3 runs between the 4th and 5th innings. Ethan Cane, Camryn O'Donnell, and Brayden Mason each collected 2 hits in the game. Dylan Castell, O'Donnell, and Mason provided the 3 RBI's. Eli Sherwin worked hard on the mound to keep the Cannoneers in the game. John Christensen pitched 2 scoreless innings in relief with 1 strikeout and Chris Vargas worked a scoreless 6th inning with 2 strikeouts.
The Cannoneers competed hard again in game 2, falling short 4-2 to FLCC. Tim Trumble pitched a great 5 innings, allowing just 2 earned runs and striking out 2, really using his defense. Chris Vargas collected a strikeout in another relief effort. Yojairo Juan had 2 hits, while Ethan Cane and Camryn O'Donnell each added a hit. Will Cole provided 2 RBI's for the Jefferson offense. 6 Jefferson batters worked walks during the game, but FLCC was able to get out of a couple jams to limit the damage and take the close game.
