Cannoneers Fall to the Panthers

GAME 1:

Game one saw the Panthers capitalize early on free bases, getting out to a 2-0 lead in the first. JCC pitcher Eli Sherwin (Cibolo, TX) settled in to pitch a quality 4 innings with 2 ER, 3 H, 7 K, and 3 BB. JCC's offense came on the strength of 1 hit apiece for Yojairo Juan (Oro Medonte, Ontario), Will Cole (Brockport, NY), and Lukas Slate (Copenhagen, NY). Cole had 1 RBI. Juan had 1 stolen base while Brayden Mason (Cape Vincent, NY) had 2 stolen bases. Tim Trumble (Parish, NY) pitched 2 scoreless innings for the Cannoneers.

GAME 2:

In game 2, Tompkins Cortland once again got off to an early lead in the first inning. Each team would go back and forth, with the Panthers opening it up in the 5^th inning. The Cannoneers fought back with 2 runs in the bottom of the 5^th and continued to threaten, but ultimately came up short. David Dubray (Massena, NY) battled through 3 2/3 innings pitched allowing 4 hits, 2 walks, 3 ER, and striking out 5. Joey McNulty (Watertown, NY) and John Christensen (Natural Bridge, NY) highlighted the back half of the game on the mound as McNulty pitched 1 scoreless inning and Christensen pitched 2 scoreless innings, striking out 1 and not allowing a hit. At the plate, Yojairo Juan and Will Cole each collected 2 hits, including a triple and double respectively. Both Juan and Cole had an RBI. Dylan Castell (Brooklyn, NY), Brayden Mason, Ethan Cane (Hamilton, Ontario), and Chris Vargas (Bellerose, NY) each earned a run batted in. On the bases, Cole had 2 stolen bases, while Juan, Nick Castell (Brooklyn, NY), and Kevin Gibbs (Brooklyn, NY) each swiped a bag in the effort. The
