Jefferson Baseball Opens Fall Ball Season with Intra-squad Scrimmage
Jefferson Baseball opened up their Fall Ball season with a intra-squad scrimmage.
Shawn Akridge, a sports psychologist and coach who works with the US Army, came and spoke to our baseball team and worked through drills. These drills were focused on team communication, attention shifting within baseball, and focusing on planning ahead while getting the first task done. Our players had fun learning new skills and working together.
After our time with Shawn, we held our first Maroon vs. Black intrasquad scrimmage. This was a great opportunity for us to evaluate our new team, while preparing to face NCAA DIII Clarkson University next week. There were many positives from the scrimmage and some areas to focus on this fall. We're proud of how hard our guys have worked and continue to work this fall!
