Sophomore baseball player Lachlan Rees commits to the Cazenovia Wildcats.
Sophomore catcher Lachlan Rees from Adelaide, Australia has committed to play baseball at Cazenovia College. Rees led the Cannoneers this season with a .317 batting average while catching 23 out of 24 total games. Rees also led JCC in extra-base hits, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, and was second in runs batted in.
Head Coach Brandon Noble had this to say about Rees' commitment, "Locky did everything that was asked of him, while taking on the challenge of catching nearly every game. He has a great baseball mind which boosts his approach at the plate and ability to hit and catch. We believe he'll be a great addition to the Cazenovia program." Rees also was a resident assistant on campus, a member of student government, and earned the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Academic Excellence and Outstanding Accounting Student Award.
