Oiram Williams Named Jefferson Athlete of the Week

Watertown, NY— Freshman infielder, Oiram Z. Williams, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) baseball team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending March 16, 2025. 

Williams, a 2022 graduate of East Side Community School, New York, NY is majoring in Sports Management at Jefferson.  Oiram played in all six games for the Cannoneers this past week, splitting between first and third base. At the plate, he leads the team in batting with an average of .450 and in RBIs with 8. Williams' hot start includes a big 3-run homerun at home versus Onondaga Community College, a bases-clearing double in a win at Tompkins Cortland, and has compiled 4 total extra-base hits. Looking deeper, Williams also has an impressive .556 batting average with runners in scoring position and a 1.272 OPS.
