Jefferson Softball Swept by SUNY Adirondack

Jefferson Softball 2018

On Sunday the Lady Cannoneers traveled to SUNY Adirondack to play in a double header, but they didn't have to play through the freezing rain and cold conditions, instead their games were held inside at the Adirondack Sports Complex, in Queensbury, NY.

In the first game, Jefferson struck first with a run, only to have SUNY Adirondack come back and score 4 in the bottom of the first.  JCC would then score another run in the top of the 2nd only to have the Lady Timberwolves would score 4 more runs in the 3rd.  We would tack on two more runs, but it wouldn't be enough as SUNY Adirondack defeats the Lady Cannoneers 8-4.  Katelyn VanBrocklin would have 2 hits and 1 run, also scoring runs for Jefferson Kacie Updike with 2 and Samantha Dibble and Courtney Laflesh each had a hit for JCC.

In the second game, the Lady Cannoneers score 5 runs, but SUNY Adirondack would score 13 to end the game in 5 innings.  Mackenzi Goutremout had 2 hits for Jefferson, scored 1 run, and had 1 RBI.  Samantha Dibble, Kacie Updike, Rachel Trumble, and Mallory Harter also scored for JCC.
