The JCC women's softball team held their 1st annual Alumni softball game for the Friends and Family Weekend this Saturday. This is the first softball Alumni game since 2010. The 2016-17 Cannoneers took on the program alums and emerged victorious coming away with an 18-11 victory.
Mikayla Bacon and Courtney LaFlesh took ball for the 2017 Cannoneers. Mikayla started the contest, pitching four innings in total working alongside Courtney LaFlesh who pitched three innings. Natalie Wicks led the hitting attack for the Cannoneers going 3 for 4 with a triple.
The Alumni showed a balanced offensive attack led by Casey Webb (2016), 3 for 4 with a double, Chelsea Monroe (2011-12), 2 for 4 with a pair of doubles, and Mikayla Kolb (2015-16), two run triple. Korie Clark (2015-16) got the start for the alumni, pitching the first four innings and was relieved in the fifth inning by Lindsay Croneiser (2012-13).
Other Alumnist that participated were: Lauren Labiendo, Jennifer Jones, Jenna Ferlito, Heather McManus, and Taneisha Richey.
The Cannoneers will host their next Alumni game during Alumni weekend in October 2017.
