Chelsea R. Monroe Named NJCAA Region III Athlete of the Week

Sophomore second-baseman, Chelsea R. Monroe of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) softball team was named National Junior College Athletic Association Region III athlete of the week. Additionally, she was named JCC athlete of the week.

Monroe, a 2010 graduate of General Brown Central School District, is majoring in humanities and social science at Jefferson. Chelsea was 8 for 14 at the plate with 3 doubles and 2 triples with a pair of walks leading the offense for the Lady Cannoneers out of the leadoff spot this week. She also scored 6 runs and had 8 RBI's to lead the team.
