Navarra and Diaz Named Jefferson Co-Athletes of the Week

Watertown, NY—Sophomore Mid-fielder, Gabrielle I. Navarra, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) women’s lacrosse team was named JCC co-athlete of the week for the week ending April 28, 2013.  JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Victory Promotions. Gabby, a 2011 graduate of Immaculate Heart Central, is majoring in Humanities and Social Sciences at Jefferson.  Navarra had 5 goals and 11 ground balls in their wins against Mohawk Valley Community College and Erie Community College.

Sophomore Left-Fielder, Eulises “Louie” Diaz, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) baseball team was named JCC co-athlete of the week for the week ending April 28, 2013.  Louie, a 2011 graduate of Community High School, Chicago, IL, is majoring in Sports Management at Jefferson.  In a week where Jefferson Baseball went 4-0 in a 4 game series vs Columbia Greene Community College and 2-2 in a 2 game series vs Schenectady Community College to move to 16-4 in the Eastern Division, Louie had a .543 batting average.  He had 11 hits, which includes a homerun and 3 doubles.  Diaz had 9 RBI and score 11 runs for Jefferson.
