Jefferson Athlete of the Week

Watertown, NY—Freshman Point Guard, Jasmine M. Canady, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) Women’s basketball team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending November 4, 2012.  JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Victory Promotions. Jasmine, a graduate of Overhills High School in Spring Lake, NC, is majoring in Math/Science at Jefferson.  Canady’s accomplishments on the court this past week include scoring 34 points in her collegiate debut against Genesee Community College this past Saturday in the Mohawk Valley 12^th Annual Anthony Torchia Memorial Classic. She followed up her 34 point debut with 12 points against a very tall and athletic Mohawk Valley Community College defense.
